Loire, near to Lyon

The Departement of Loire is less than 45 minutes from Lyon and less than 2 hours from Geneva and Grenoble. Saint-Etienne, administrative centre of Loire, France's 8th largest urban centre by population, forms, together with the Lyon and his suburbs, the second biggest urban metropolitan grouping in France, consisting of 2.5 million inhabitants.
